The Cemeteries & Crematoria Association of NSW is pleased to announce a two training course aimed at promoting safe working practices in cemeteries.
The Cemeteries and Crematoria Association NSW (CCANSW) has partnered with Footprint Training to provide a Cemetery Safety training program for cemetery operators and staff. This course is part of a comprehensive strategic program being undertaken by CCANSW to meet the needs of its Members.
The Cemeteries and Crematoria Association of NSW (CCANSW) is looking to hold two additional Cemetery Safety Course in 2019. Tamworth Regional Council and Wentworth Shire Council are suggested as likely hosts.
Due to popular demand the CCANSW is pleased to announce another Cemetery Safety course. It'll be held at Rookwood on 27 – 28 November 2018. Members may qualify for free registration.

Australia’s Deakin University is now preparing to graduate the first cohort of academically accredited cemetery practitioners, including managers from Victoria and New South Wales.
Professional cemetery education is finally here. From early 2020, Deakin Universitywill offer a Graduate Certificate in Cemetery Practice. This new industry-specific course is designed to build essential knowledge and skills for those striving to lead professional cemetery practices.
Admission to the program is offered exclusively to those actively engaged in cemeteries, crematoria and memorial parks. A previous tertiary qualification is not essential. Deakin’s on-line study mode offers ready access from anywhere within Australia or overseas.
Special Broadcasting Service (SBS), Multicultural NSW and International Education Services Limited (IES), have collaborated to launch the Cultural Competence Program, a mobile app and online training tool created to help Australian organisations navigate and maximise the benefits of cultural diversity in the workplace.
The Cultural Competence Program has been designed for public and private organisations to help build their employees’ knowledge and understanding of Australia’s diverse cultures and practices, increasingly relevant for our culturally diverse workplaces today.
